This Dorje Shugden statue, currently at Gaden Pelgyeling Monastery, Nepal, was offered by His Holiness the Great 5th Dalai Lama to the Monastery centuries ago.
It was in the original monastery in Tibet, but during the escape of the monks to Nepal in 1959, it was one of the treasured items taken out. When Pelgyeling was re-established in Nepal, this holy statue was re-installed in the protector chapel. It draws many pilgrims who have their wishes fulfilled upon prayer to this sacred image. |
Thank you for compiling so many photos of Dorje Shugden in different monasteries. This is the best website for the spread of the Dorje Shugden practice and the preservation of the Dorje Shugden legacy. There is a lot care in the compilation and dissemination of information. Just by looking at the many pictures of the great Protector, I feel blessed. I’m very grateful to the people involved in the creation, management and maintenance of this wonderful website.

Dear readings
Why we dont keep it in the field where all this discussions belongs? In the democracy field of freedom of choices and believes, instead of relating it to the teachers of the past, trying to validate democracy to the believes of the teachers of the past?
Why is that to beleive that things does not change? Teachers of the past have their time, why we must be always trying to validate our self image through their autority?
If the Dalai Lama is wrong, then he is wrong. If he is right, then he is right. Why do we have to create more conflict and pain, and bring it to the past teachers? Why do we have to justify our incertanty of life by grasping in what teachers from the past believe? Why we cannot see it by ourselves once just following is not enough to any teachings to become really effective?
Violence generates violence, conflict generates more conflict because it is based upon self interests. Isn’t the teachings of the past teachers to give up all forms of self grasping and self cherishing? Can we tell when it is a discussion based only upon a believe and not in the defense of our self image created by the memories, attachments, past experiences related to afflictions…
Please, lets put this discussion in the legal field and stop to recall the teachers and their autorities from the past…
Long live His Holiness the Dalia Lama… Gawa Tenzin Gyatso kutse tridak ne tridak tenpa shok..!!!!!!
Thank you for so kindly in putting the pictures of thankas of the Mandalas and statues of the various forms of Dorje Shugden in the Gallery section. All these statues and thankas are saved and taken from Tibet in 1959 when Tibet was invaded and is placed in the Dorje Shugden Chapel in Tashilunpo Monastery. The pictures are very nice and they represent the 5 forms of Dorje Shugden.Vairochana Shugden the Pacifier, Ratna Shugden the Increaser, Padma Shugden the Terrifier and main form of Dorje Shugden. The Panchen Lama was a great practitioner of Dorje Shugden. Panchen Lama has been doing Serkym offering everyday to Dorje Shugden until he passed away.
