His Holiness the Dalai Lama with his two great tutors for most of his life. It is due to the kindness of these two tutors that His Holiness completed his Geshe studies, received most of his lineages, transmissions and commentaries that he is passing to so many in the world today. Both H.H. Ling Rinpoche and H.H. Trijang Rinpoche studied the Panchen Sonam Drakpa curriculum in their respective Monasteries to attain full Geshe. Panchen Sonam Drakpa is one of the predecessors of Lord Dorje Shugden. The connection to Dorje Shugden is intimate and in so many ways.
