Kyabje Ling Dorje Chang had deep respect for Dorje Shugden, and practised Nechung. Kyabje Trijang Dorje Chang had deep respect for Nechung, and practised Dorje Shugden.

Throughout their lifetimes as the tutors of His Holines the Dalai Lama, both great masters never had conflict and were so close with each other and had deep respect for each other.
