Very recently, I had to drive a long distance on the motorway to attend an important family event in another city up north.

I hadn’t slept at all the night before and had only a few hours of sleep the night before that, so I was completely exhausted. But I really had to make that appointment, which was a four-hour drive away, and there was no choice but to drive, no matter how tired I was.

I was falling asleep every five minutes – literally – but miraculously, I always woke up just before my car hit the barrier and the entire four-hour drive was not eventful.
