Indiana, USA The late H.E. Kyabje Dagom Rinpoche and H.E. Gonsar Rinpoche are among the last generation of Tibetan masters who were educated in Tibet. Together, they founded Dagom Gaden Tensung Ling Buddhist Monastery (DGTL) in Bloomington, Indiana, USA in 1996. The center's priority is the preservation of all the authentic oral transmission lineages of the Gelug Tradition founded by the great master Je Tsongkhapa, and transmitted through an unbroken line of masters of our time, such as the great Pabongka Rinpoche, H.H. Trijang Dorje Chang and H.H. Kyabje Zong Rinpoche. Readers' Comments
Although DGTL functions as a traditional monastery for the ordained community, the center also welcomes lay people of all nationalities, backgrounds, races and origins to study and practice the great teachings. The center offers sacred teachings by visiting and resident monks, the construction of precious sand mandalas, daily prayer services, guest lectures to schools and community groups, along with the support of other community initiatives. The center has a focus on studying and guidance in the practice of meditation, for which they organize permanent study programs, lectures, weekend seminars and occasional week-long courses. According to the aims and objectives of this organization, DGTL propitiates Dorje Shugden as the main Protector of this center and all of its affiliates. Further, DGTL gives support and assistance to all the monastic communities, organizations or individuals adhering to the same authentic tradition, especially at its source in Tibet, India, China and Mongolia. The center is nestled at one end of Bloomington, Indiana's Lower Cascades Park and has a beautiful natural setting with cliffs, a creek, and a waterfall. The serene monastery grounds and the building are decorated by hand with traditional Tibetan colors and designs. Source : http://www.dgtlmonastery.org/
