The young incarnation of Domo Geshe Rinpoche and Trisur Rinpoche Jetsun Lungrik Namgyal, the retired 101st Gaden Tripa, are two other esteemed Masters who have joined this monastery. The current Abbot of the monastery is Geshe Lharampa Lobsang Phende. Today, practices at Shar Gaden Monastery are very much alive with daily debates, pujas and teachings. Shar Gaden’s existence is hope, strength, light and practice exemplified. Its efforts to continue with the practices and to preserve the lineage offer us great encouragement. We need to offer them our support now to keep the lineage alive for future generations. Shar Gaden’s Sangha are highly knowledgeable and skilled in performing many types of beneficial pujas such as Tara, Medicine Buddha, Dorje Shugden’s various rituals, pujas, fire offerings, mandalas, Heart Sutra, Pelden Lhamo, Namsey, Kalarupa, Mahakalas, etc. Lay people can support the monastery by requesting the Sangha to conduct pujas for them. For example, one can sponsor a puja to be done for a birthday, anniversary, death, marriage, special event or just to clear obstacles for whatever plans one may have. It is possible to travel to Shar Gaden via Mumbai or Bangalore. From Mumbai or Bangalore, pilgrims may take a train or bus to the nearest city of Hubli. From Hubli, Shar Gaden in the village of Mundgod is another hour away by taxi. {hwdvs-player}id=126|height=450|width=600|tpl=playeronly{/hwdvs-player} View the video on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3qcJa8vKWS4 Please do contact, support, visit and do whatever you can for our Sangha, who are continuing to uphold and practice their lineage just as it has been practiced for over 350 years. It is the least we can do to help safeguard this holy lineage, which may be faced with obstacles at this time but will soon shine bright in the future as predicted.
