His Eminence Zava Damdin Rinpoche is an erudite Lama of the Gelug tradition and in accordance with the teachings, has brought innumerable benefits to those he meets. A modern Lama with a passionate heart to bring the teachings of the Incomparable Lama Tsongkhapa to his people and country, Zava Damdin Rinpoche is now building a monastery 250km away from Ulaanbaatar in Dungovi.

This monastery will be the biggest of its kind when completed. While waiting for the new monastery complex to be completed, Rinpoche continues giving teachings from a Ger which houses sacred images of the Gaden tradition.

Rinpoche’s activities are vast and focuses primarily on the teachings of Lamrim, or the Stages of the Path to Enlightenment. Recently, a Tenshug or Long Life Puja was offered to Rinpoche requesting Him to live long and continue turning the incomparable Wheel of the Dharma. This was held in the Ger near the monastery which is under construction. Rinpoche’s works are supported by his close-knit family and the sangha of his monastery.

Zava Damdin Rinpoche is a fearless Lama who spreads the teachings of Dorje Shugden to the people of Mongolia, and many have seen and experienced the direct help of Dorje Shugden in their lives through Rinpoche’s blessings.
